TOPIC: LEADERSHIP LESSONS FROM A LICENSED AIRLINE PILOT APPLIED TO PROJECT MANAGEMENT
SPEAKER: TIM CARTER
DATE: MARCH 13, 2020
LOCATION: OSU-Tulsa, North Hall Conference Center, BS Roberts Room (700 N Greenwood Ave, Tulsa, OK 74106)
Come, join us and learn about different leadership lessons from a Commercial Airline Captain. As with many things in life, we find that we can learn different lessons about Project Management from different areas of business. As in Project Management, Captain Tim Carter comes with lessons in leadership that are meant to help us see problems from a different view.
Commercial Pilots (Project Managers) face the similar or more difficult situations, especially when considered that they are responsible for passengers (stakeholders) and their crew (team). Captain Tim Carter, from JET Linx, will share his own experiences.
Tim Carter, from the age of 16, began working on aircrafts while learning to fly in his spare time. 37 years later, and with 3 degrees in Aviation, he has had the honor to teach young pilots, fly hundreds and hundreds of passengers and crew, and embrace the challenges of flying through the worst weather Mother Nature has to offer.
As a licensed Advanced Ground Instructor, Aircraft Mechannic, Flight Instructor, Helicopter and Airline Transport Pilot and currently as a captain with JET Linx flying private charter, he has navigated through those leadership situations. He has taken those same principles to help him transport various celebrities, CEOs, heads-of-state, and many amazing families and friends.
